How I Rose From Obscure Developer to One of Web3’s Most Influential Educators.

In 2021, my life changed in a way I didn’t expect. I joined Developer DAO, a global community of developers exploring the future of Web3. I didn’t join as an expert. In 2021, my life changed in a way I didn’t expect.

I joined Developer DAO, a global community of developers exploring the future of Web3. I didn’t join as an expert. I didn’t have the loudest voice or the strongest credentials. I walked in quietly, carrying nothing but curiosity, discipline, and the belief that technology can empower anyone — no matter where they come from.

I had no idea that within a few months, I would become one of the DAO’s most impactful contributors…
…or that my writing would educate thousands of people around the world…
…or that my work would win a global writing competition…
…or that this early journey would eventually form the foundation of my life today as a PhD scholar in Information Systems.

But this is exactly how it happened.

This is my story.

🌍 Growing Up With Curiosity as My Superpower

Before Web3, before Developer DAO, before the PhD — I was someone who always had one natural gift: I was intensely curious.

  • When I don’t understand something, I dig.
  • When information is messy, I organize it.
  • When people are confused, I explain.

That instinct shaped everything that came after.

🌱 Entering Developer DAO: A New World and a New Challenge

When I joined Developer DAO in 2021, the Web3 space was noisy and overwhelming. Everyone had opinions. Everyone claimed expertise. But very few could explain things clearly.

So I made a decision:

  • If I was going to understand Web3, I would teach it.
  • If I was going to teach it, I would make it simple.
  • And if I was going to make it simple, I would make it accessible to anyone.

So I started writing.

One article… then another… and another.

Without planning it, writing became my way of thinking.
Teaching became my way of learning.
And contribution became my way of belonging.

🚀 Becoming the Top Blog Contributor in Developer DAO

Within months, something unexpected happened.

My articles weren’t just getting attention — they were shaping understanding.
New members were referencing my work.
Developers were using my guides to build their first projects.
People were sharing my articles as “essential reading.”

Slowly, I became the top blog contributor in the entire DAO.

Not by title.
Not by request.
But by impact.

I wasn’t just participating in the ecosystem — I was defining parts of it.

Here are the articles that formed my Web3 legacy:

📚 My Web3 Knowledge Legacy (With Full Hyperlinks)

🔹 Core Web3 Foundations

These were the pieces that made Web3 understandable to beginners and experts alike.

These five articles alone helped thousands understand Web3 fundamentals in a rapidly evolving space.

🔹 Developer-Focused Articles

Written to help developers get hands-on and build confidently.

These articles positioned me not just as a writer — but as a technical educator with global reach.

🔹 Frontier Innovation Articles

Pieces that explored emerging technologies and pushed imagination forward.

This collection covered almost every key frontier of Web3 at the time:
– the metaverse
– decentralized science
– machine economies
– xr
– machine NFTs

I wasn’t just tracking trends — I was predicting them.

🏆 My Breakthrough Moment: Winning the Epic Hashnode Writeathon

The biggest surprise of my early journey was winning The Epic Hashnode Writeathon — a global competition featuring thousands of writers.

I won with my article:

Here is the official announcement:

That victory affirmed something deep inside me:

My ability to simplify complex systems is not just a skill — it is a gift.
And it is a gift meant to be used boldly.

🌍 Extending the Mission: Building Africa’s Premier Web3 Education Platform

After realizing the power of accessible knowledge, I decided to take it home.

I launched Decentrapress.com — which quickly became one of the first and most influential Web3 education platforms in Africa.

At a time when the continent had little access to structured Web3 education, Decentrapress filled a crucial gap.

Through that platform:

  • Young Africans learned how to build for Web3.
  • Day-one developers found their footing in blockchain.
  • Communities began forming around decentralized technologies.

What began in a DAO became a continental movement.

🔥 How Web3 Prepared Me for the Scholar I Am Becoming

People see me today — a PhD scholar in Information Systems, studying:

  • Generative AI
  • Design Science
  • Compassionate AI
  • Organizational transformation
  • AI-enabled decision-making
  • Intelligent systems
  • Learning technologies

And they assume my journey started in academia.

But that is not true.

Everything began in 2021 — with the discipline of writing Web3 articles, the courage to break down complexity, and the patience to teach concepts that many others ignored.

Web3 shaped me into:

  • a communicator
  • an educator
  • a systems thinker
  • a researcher
  • a founder
  • a builder

Those nights writing in the Developer DAO blog prepared me for the research papers I write today.
They prepared me for the AI systems I design.
They prepared me for the teaching I now do in my PhD program.

My Web3 journey was the training ground for the academic I am becoming.

✨ The Journey Continues

Looking back, I realize something powerful:

I never planned to become a leading voice in Web3.
I simply showed up… and kept showing up.

I wrote when nobody was reading.
I taught when I was still learning myself.
I built when nobody was watching.
I contributed long before anyone cared.

And those small decisions shaped my future.

Today, I am a researcher, an educator, a builder, and a scholar — but my story started with curiosity, humility, and a desire to share knowledge openly.

And the truth is:

My journey is still unfolding — and the best chapters are still ahead.
