I’m excited to share that I’ll be presenting a Table Talk at the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS 2025) in Nashville, Tennessee, on Monday, December 15, 2025.

The session is titled “Building Visibility for Emerging IS Scholars: Creating a Culture of Recognition.”

This Table Talk will bring together PhD students, early-career researchers, and senior scholars to explore how we, as a community, can create structures and practices that increase the visibility of emerging Information Systems scholars. The goal is to move beyond individual achievement and build a culture that values recognition, mentorship, and collective growth in the IS field.

Visibility in academia is not just about self-promotion—it’s about making contributions discoverable, creating connections that foster collaboration, and ensuring that promising voices are not lost in the noise. As emerging scholars navigate publication pressure, teaching demands, and the need for academic identity-building, conversations like this are essential.

I’m honored to facilitate this discussion and to learn from the diverse perspectives of attendees at ICIS 2025.

Stay tuned for the final session details and ways to sign up!
