I’m excited to share that I have been selected as a contributor for MISQ Insider a new initiative created in partnership with MIS Quarterly, one of the leading journals in Information Systems research.

This initiative is designed as a win–win–win model for the IS field:

  • A win for MIS Quarterly — by extending the reach of published research beyond academic readership and creating a more accessible layer of discourse around top MISQ articles.
  • A win for doctoral scholars — by showcasing contributors, fostering visibility in the research community, and providing a rare opportunity to learn directly from authors and reviewers behind MISQ publications.
  • A win for the global IS community — by offering behind-the-scenes conversations on how strong research is crafted, reviewed, and published at the highest levels.

🎙️ What I’ll Be Doing

As part of the MISQ Insider contributor cohort, I will:

  • Select a high-impact MISQ article and analyze it through both scholarly and practitioner lenses.
  • Collaborate with another contributor to conduct an author interview, exploring how the article evolved from idea to publication.
  • Help translate the research into accessible insights for doctoral students, early-stage researchers, and IS practitioners.

💡 Why This Matters

Academic publishing often hides the real thinking, revisions, and intellectual negotiations that shape a final paper. MISQ Insider opens that black box.

By participating, I aim to:

  • Learn from top scholars
  • Understand what “publishable quality” really looks like
  • Contribute to a culture of open scholarly dialogue
  • And most importantly — give back to the IS community by making research more visible, human, and accessible.

If you’re interested in following along, I’ll be documenting the journey and sharing key insights here on the blog.

🔗 Stay tuned — next update: choosing my MISQ article and forming a contributor team.
